In brief: Changing an event/tour status to Pending allows Tour Operators to "pencil in" a tour to their schedule without setting it to sell.  It's a great way to schedule your resources without spreading your sales out among too many tour departures. 


NOTE: Only LIVE events with no tickets sold can be set to pending. The EzTix Support Centre will also not sell tickets for Pending Tours nor change the status of the tours from Pending to Live unless specifically requested by you.


HOW TO SET A TOUR TO PENDING


STEP 1:

Login to EzTix


STEP 2:

Click on Events


STEP 3:

Locate the tour event that you'd like to set to pending in the list.


STEP 4:

The event's status is listed to the right of the Ticket Sold count.  In the above example, the event is LIVE.


STEP 5:

Click on the LIVE status in order to change it to PENDING.

Pending Events will be visible to you in your calendar view as times in grey. You can also update a single tour to live or pending in the CALENDAR view. 


ONCE TOURS/EVENTS ARE SET TO PENDING:

The change will apply within EVENTS as well as your EzTix internal calendar. Your customers will not be able to see these pending times on your public sales calendar. 


If you would like to receive a notification email when any pending event is set to live, follow these instructions:

STEP 1:

Click on Global Event Management.


STEP 2:

Click on the  Notifications tab at the top left hand side of the work screen.


STEP 3:

Enter your email address in the "Event Set To Live Alert Email" field.


STEP 4:

Click Save.
