Note - We only recommend using Tour Categories if you have more than three tours for each category.


Add a Tour Category:


  1. Request the support team to enable categories on your EzSite.
  2. You will now have a "Categories" option under "Tours". Click on "Categories" 
  3. You will see this screen: 
  4. There are five fields that need to be filled out on the left side of this page: 
  5. Name: name of this category - i.e. Wine Tours
  6. Featured Image: which will display anywhere this category is referenced on the site
  7. Position Order: You can set what order you want your tour categories to display. Please set this numerically here (i.e. 1, 2, 3)
  8. Excerpt: This will be a one sentence statement on what this category is. i.e. We offer six unique wine tours in the Toronto area.
  9. Text Link: When a user hovers over this category, this is what will display, i.e. View Wine Tours
  10. Click "Add New Tag" to add this category.


Edit a Tour Category:

  1. Log in to your Admin area (WordPress)
  2. Hover over "Tours" and click on "Categories"
  3. The right side of this page lists all of your tour categories, click on the category you would like to update.
  4. Make any adjustments and click on the green "Update" button at the very bottom of the page.


Delete a Tour Category:

  1. Log in to your Admin area (WordPress)
  2. Hover over "Tours" and click on "Categories"
  3. Hover over the tour category you wish to delete
  4. You will have four options: Edit, Quick Edit, Delete, View
  5. Click on "Delete"
